DK5 debugging - does updating Adobe Flash help ?

[1] Well…  See my prior diary to see the bugs I was encountering under Win7 Pro running Firefox 42, relying on Adobe Flash that had not been updated.  When I clicked on BlogIt, Firefox 42 froze displaying a black screen.   After reloading Firefox several times I got as far as BlogIt, clicked on BlogIt, but was unable to enter any text in the text box.  Until I clicked on the [H] button in the toolbar and was able to add giant sized text.

[2] One of the commenters on my priory diary suggested I try updating Adobe Flash.

However, Adobe Updater failed to tell me whether or not my current version of Adobe Flash was up to date.

So I downloaded and installed the latest version of Adobe Flash but can’t be certain whether I already had the latest version installed.  I cannot find an Adobe Flash update history. Boos to Adobe !

[3] Just now I restarted DK5 and clicked on BlogIt and was allowed to write a headline.

It then wanted me to “Click here to add a title image”.  I had no desire to do this… why are we being pushed to do this… why not say “Click here if you want to add a title image” ?

So I did not click to add title image, and instead clicked on the little pencil icon.  Nothing happened. Could not enter text.  Maybe because I had not added a title image ?

So I followed the suggestion due to xxxx in my prior diary, namely double click any of the items on the toolbar, and lo and behold, I could enter text.

[4] Is not yet clear to me whether the Adobe Flash update was helpful. I was not having any difficulty with any of the other websites I visit that probably depend on Adobe Flash.

[5] By the way…  why does DK5 stop people from publishing a comment with no text ?  Is true that often the n/t comments don’t convey anything. But sometimes they do.
