[1] Merchants should be compelled to provide non-fading receipts. My local Walmart is a particularly prominent offender, providing receipts that fade after a few months, and become totally unreadable within a year.
[2] Bicycles should be equipped with bells or other sonic warning devices, and cyclists should by law sound a warning if riding on a sidewalk and coming up behind a pedestrian. Numerous times cyclists have come up from behind me at high speed without giving warning, and I have not heard them approaching, and if I happened to move at the wrong moment into the path of the cyclist (of whom I am unaware) there could be a nasty collision and broken bones or worse.
I write this hoping that others will contribute diaries proposing other little things that would improve daily living….
Politicians on the stump, or on their websites, might enumerate small problems they are aware of and would like to solve.
