It gets me madder than hell. For the past months I see news media giving great prominence to poll reports showing large percentages of respondents saying they do not trust Hillary. The "Distrust Hillary" theme has been assiduously cultivated and pushed. It has been pushed like crazy. But from what I have seen of her track record and from her public persona, I can see no reason to say she has ever betrayed the interests of the American people. Getting down into the weeds, I don’t agree with all of her votes. And in foreign policy she seems a bit more hawkish than I like. She’s not as progressive as Bernie. But she’s still way more progressive than the GOP.
I very strongly suspect that the "can't trust Hillary" public buzz has been generated by Republican operatives who are desperately looking for ways to attack her, and can’t find anything. Instead there has been all this b.s. about Benghazi and emails, teeny molehills turned into mountains.
Can any Kossacks trace the origins of the “don’t trust Hillary” meme and identify who started it ? It’s a really disgusting piece of character assassination.
