Dear Mrs. Clinton - more conversational moments, please

Dear Mrs. Clinton:

I have ginormous respect for your honesty, intelligence, trustworthiness, good motives, competence, strength, and I am enormously distressed and angered by the disgusting behavior of the mainstream media in promoting the “unpopular” and “can’t be trusted” meme.  I think you would be a great president, and I will be truly disgusted if Mr. Trump wins.

I think the content of your speeches is terrific, well reasoned and sincere.

However, I would like to see you having more in the way of conversational moments, like those of Bill, who is among the best of the best at conversational, and fewer of those moments when you sound hectoring and yelling, when I get a strong feeling of “wow — she's shouting at me”.  One of Bill’s many genius qualities was that the first third of a statement, he exercised his highly developed capacity to make me feel he was talking to me — in a friendly, humorous way, appealing to my commonsense, starting out in a soft voice, interspersed with many chuckles and smiles.  And then he would get more serious.  But very seldom did he yell. I know you were elected as New York senator, but against a much weaker opponent.

It is clear now that  you are up against a really unique opponent whose great strength is that he convinces many people that he will shake things up and make them right. Does’nt matter that he has no concrete plans right now.  He will consult experts and do the right things.  But by golly he will roll over all opponents and get things done.  The right things.  That will “make American great again”.  And there are lots of people who believe this exorbitant promise, through the sheer tremendous charisma of his stage personality.

I hope the publicl will be bombarded with the truth about Donald -— that he is a consummate con artist, who has broken so many promises to so many people.  A flim-flam man. A snake oil salesman.

I am convinced you have the best interests of the American public at heart, and hope to watch your inauguration in January.

Respectfully yours

Ej Heinemann
